The Free Methodist Church in Canada is a vibrant Christian movement committed to spreading the message of faith in Jesus Christ. It emphasizes the transformative power of this faith in personal lives, families, and communities. Upholding the Bible’s authority and the Spirit’s guidance, the church focuses on shaping attitudes, thoughts, and relationships with love and integrity. It stresses the importance of all believers in God’s plan, encouraging them to discover and serve in meaningful ways for world transformation. With roots in the 18th-century spiritual awakening in England and part of the global Methodist movement, the Free Methodist Church now operates in 70 countries. In Canada, it boasts over 150 congregations, spanning from Vancouver to Sherbrooke, Quebec. Notably, the Free Methodist Tamil Church is its unique presence in the country.

The Free Methodist Church in Canada (FMCIC) aims to follow God’s lead in local and broader communities by engaging unreached groups with the gospel, nurturing congregations with strong leadership, deploying individuals for meaningful service.
It is the vision of The Free Methodist Church in Canada to see a healthy church within the reach of all people in Canada and beyond.
What We Do
Every year our Free Methodist Tamil Church of Canada goes to Pine Orchard camp in the summer as a retreat. Our church also invites nonmembers to come and hear the gospel through the camp programs.
Year 2004 We celebrated our 10th anniversary of the Free Methodist Tamil Church We celebrated it with cultural events like dance, villupattu, music drama etc through fund raising.
Our ministry has grown very much since it started. We have different programs in the ministry throughout the week. On Sundays along with our Sunday service, we have children’s ministry and youth ministry which will be conducted by our church leaders. Bible study during weekdays. We also have men and women’s ministry from time to time. Then we have outreach ministry. Also as a congregation we would raise fund to support the poor in Sri Lanka.
Year 2008 We bought our own church building with the help of FMC. Our new building is at a convenient location in Mississauga.
Many members contributed towards this building such as carpeting, painting, buying chairs and sign board. Year 2019 As of this year, due to some reasons which cannot be disclosed Pastor Jeyaraja the founder of Free Methodist Tamil Church could no longer work of the FMC. He was replaced by Rev. Solomon Milton to pastor our Free Methodist
Along with pastoring our Free Methodist Tamil Church, Rev. Milton is a great organizer of activities and church events. He meets with the members from time to time to strengthen their faith in God.
