About the Free Methodist Tamil Church
The Free Methodist Tamil Church is a vibrant, Christ-centered community serving Tamil-speaking believers and all who seek a deeper connection with God. With a strong foundation in biblical teachings and a heart for worship, we gather to lift up the name of Jesus, encourage one another, and serve our local and global communities.
We offer worship services, Bible studies, and various ministries for individuals, families, youth, and children, all designed to help you grow in your walk with God. As part of the larger Free Methodist Church, we are committed to living out our faith through acts of love, compassion, and justice.

Former Pastors
Pastor Sritharan Jeyarajah
Pastor Jeyaraja had a vision of the Holy Spirit to establish a Tamil Christian church in Mississauga. Therefore, he spoke with the FMC head organization along with Pastor Lysander about starting a community church in Mississauga.The vision came true when Free Methodist Tamil Church was established on 26 November 1994 at Marriott hotel in Mississauga. The members of the church were Chandren Rajagobal,K.Jeyaraja, Rajgobal, Daniel,Renu Daniel,Mano As Pastor Jeyarajah thirst to build the Kingdom of God, the Lord brought new souls to the church.
Matthew : 6 : 33 - But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. AS more people kept on coming, We moved to another scouts camp building on King Street in Mississauga. Couple of years after, we couldn’t stay at King Street building because owner didn’t want to rent it any longer. Then we moved Cooksville United Church at 2500 Mimosa Row, Mississauga.
Pastor S.Alfred Cherubim
Pastor S.Alfred Cherubim and his family joined us from SriLanka, Trincomale and served the Lord. He influenced our church to start a Ministry in Sri Lanka. Soon FMC started a church in Sri Lanka, and it was assisted by Pastor Jeyarajah.
Rev. Jeyaratnam Viyanathan
In the year 2003 Our FMTC sponsored Rev.Jeyaratnam Vijyanathan From Sri Lanka. He is well advanced biblical knowledge and church experiences as he was also a dean at the Methodist church in Sri Lanka. In 2003 Pastor Jayaraja was ordained by FMC Bishop Keith Elford. He has now become the head Pastor and founder of Free Methodist Tamil Church. After that he started other FMTC in Malvern. Our Church programs help people learn and grow both spiritually and in practical ways through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pastor John Baskaran
In the year of 2001 Pastor John Baskaran join with our Free Methodist Tamil Church to help as an assistant pastor. He oversees the Brampton Church.
